So, yesterday we checked into the Milhouse Hostel in Buenos Aires. I say first time because the other seemed more like a budget hotel. Not bad! This place is really quite charming and our private room is quite clean and cute. No bed bugs to speak of and a very clean bathroom. Can't ask for more than that other than air con! I'd recommend it to people on a budget! We are about 10 years older than most of the people but that's ok.
Last night we ate at La Cabrera steakhouse. It was soooo incredibly good. 2 HUGE steaks, 2 glasses of wine and an order of spanish fries with eggs was only 145 pesos ( $48 USD). This was one of our splurges. Totally worth the hour wait! After we got back to the hostel, the party was in full swing in the common room and pre-drinks were happening for the 1:30am trip out to the club. People asked if we were gonna join them but uh....we had food coma. Ya that's it. Food coma. This morning, we rolled outta bed just in time for the free breakfast and now we're heading off to check out the city. It's about 24 degrees at 10am.
Oh ya, I'd like to say that Steve has found a new love. Yup folks, the honeymoon is clearly over when he's pining for dulce de leche- basically spanish caramel. He's had several ice creams with it and this morning, they had it as a spread for bread. He dipped EACH cornflake into it and ate them individually. He was hoping to lose some of his...beer belly but at this rate, he's coming back with a bigger one. Folks, we need an intervention!

Yay for clean hostels! I'm glad it's going well so far. Don't forget: beware of frutas y banditos :)
